Im Zuge der Neu-Strukturierung der GDS ist auch der Bundesverband der Schuh- und Lederwarenindustrie mit seinem Stand umgezogen. Zusammen mit dem Deutschen Schuhinstitut (DSI) und MODEUROP zeigt der Verband jetzt in Halle 3 B 21 Flagge. Zentral, in unmittelbarer Nähe zu den Ständen der HDS/L Mitglieder gelegen, bündelt der Stand sämtliche Initiativen und Themengebiete des Verbandes sowie der angeschlossenen Institutionen an einem Ort.

Im Rahmen der WMS Qualitätsoffensive hat das Deutsche Schuhinstitut in den vergangenen Monaten eine verstärkte Prüfung der WMS Schuhe aller Lizenznehmer vom PFI – Prüf- und Forschungsinstitut in Pirmasens vornehmen lassen.
