El CTCR y la UR mejoran la fuerza de adhesión de las partes del calzado en un 110% gracias a la nanotecnología - Aplicación de plasma atmosférico sobre suela de NBR mediante brazo robótico
Un equipo multidisciplinar del Centro Tecnológico del Calzado de La Rioja, CTCR, y del Departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica de la Universidad de La Rioja, UR, ha conseguido un novedoso tratamiento de pegado entre el corte textil (tejido parte superior) y la suela del calzado mucho más sostenible, seguro, eficiente y que, además, mejora la fuerza de adhesión en un 110%, frente a los métodos convencionales. Su aplicación más exitosa adquiere especial relevancia en el caso de las suelas de caucho NBR o SBR, dos especies de goma sintética muy utilizadas en la industria zapatera por sus excelentes propiedades en cuanto a resistencias se refiere, entre otras. Con este método, mejorado gracias a la nanotecnología, se consiguen múltiples efectos positivos ya que el grado de unión entre las dos partes es lo más alto posible, pero, además, también, se evita el empleo de los habituales pegamentos halogenados altamente contaminantes, recurriendo a una producción más limpia, más respetuosa con el medio ambiente, menos tóxica e incluso acorde al REACH (Reglamento europeo de registro, evaluación, autorización y restricción de sustancias químicas).
