Be different, be innovative – this is the guiding principle for the fashion strategy pursued by footwear companies from Brazil for Spring/Summer 2017 in a nutshell. Under the umbrella of the economic promotion programme BRAZILIAN FOOTWEAR for GDS – Global Destination for Shoes & Accessories 21 labels will be presenting their lines in Düsseldorf from 26 to 28 July 2016. Diverse collections combine
international fashion trends with thoroughly researched wear comfort and a concrete target group focus.
The last edition of the trade show afforded the participating firms with revenues worth nearly U$ 4 million in the form of business deals concluded on site. The Brazilian shoe brands exhibiting in Düsseldorf sold 334,000 pairs in total. This corresponds to a 26% increase over the previous year’s event in February 2015.
For the following six months the deals initiated at GDS were expected to generate further sales worth US$ 11.8 million. The German market was and will be important to footwear manufacturers from Brazil, since it honours product quality and reliability with a sound order volume.
Alongside quality, comfort, design and precise delivery the focus at GDS is especially on fashion developments and changes. Here the Brazilians have long become experts with their creative temperament and fashion flair. Such brands as Beira Rio, Ipanema, Piccadilly, Ramarim, Suzana Santos, Vizzano and Zaxy, to name but a few, will be exhibiting their innovations at the lifestyle world HIGHSTREET
in Hall 3. In this segment of GDS leading international brands will be on display. Be it classic, lifestyle, Young Fashion, sporty or comfort shoes – whoever sets the tone on international markets is represented here with an individual brand appearance. The wealth of collections makes this themed world the biggest area at GDS.
This time the brands Beira Rio, Cartago, Comfortflex, Grendha, Ipanema, Lilybi, Modare, Moleca, Molekinha, Piccadilly, Ramarim, Renata Mello, Rider, Sapatoterapia, Scarpinha, Suzana Santos, Via Scarpa, Vizzano, Whoop, Wirth and Zaxy will be taking part in the show.
