PERSONALISÉ – FUTURE.CONCEPT for 2021

As the new decade dawns, people want to be acknowledged for their own unique personality, individuality and diversity on a deeper level. To reflect this, there will be four exciting subject areas. With the help of pictures, Mara Michel will be explaining how product design can be adapted to the new requirements and how digitalisation can be embedded in 4.0 and 3D.

Antoine Doubacis will be demonstrating how to develop fashion concepts with the TREND.APP.

Scalerion in use at fashion start-up Dailybread

Speakers: Thomas Wetzlar, Managing Director of SCALERION and Frank Poser, Managing Director of Dailybread

Scalerion offers brand manufacturers new perspectives and supports them in boosting their POS visibility and increasing sales with the help of samples. Fashion start-up Dailybread from Cologne is already working with cloud-based marketplace solution Scalerion. The two managing directors Thomas Wetzlar and Frank Poser will be talking about their cooperation and highlighting the advantages and opportunities for retailers.

NEW: TM IN DIALOGUE – Individual retail advice

Participants: Editors from TM TextilMitteilungen magazine and industry partners

Visitors to the information event ‘TM in Dialogue’, which is being held and attended by trade journal TM TextilMitteilungen, will have the opportunity to ask experts for individual advice on relevant retail topics. The three tables will be occupied by editors from TM magazine and other industry partners, who will be on hand to answer questions about the three subjects of store concepts, fashion and product assortments, as well as marketing, media use and PR.

11:30 am – ‘Alte Schmiedehallen’, Pump Room

The VDMD.FASHION. PLUCK.AWARD.2020 for the man with the most daring fashion sense will be awarded to Stéphane Bonutto. His style can be described as bold and daring because the openly and publicly wears dresses, skirts, blouses, tops and high heels. Always authentic, never in disguise, he does this with the same self-confidence that women wear trouser suits and other typically male garments. He aims to encourage people to reconsider and overcome any prior opinions and preconceived beliefs. For him, it’s more about the person, rather than their gender.

 

VDMD presentation of sustainable fashion by newcomer designers

12:30 pm – ‘Alte Schmiedehallen’, VDMD booth

Laura Krettek is a newcomer who combines sustainable fashion with art. Her vision is to firmly establish fashion as a cultural asset in Germany, using sustainable materials with an upcycling approach. In 2018, within the framework of a graduate sponsorship scheme from the German state of Baden-Württemberg, Carolyn Raff successfully implemented experimental and conceptual approaches to sustainability in textile design, based on renewable raw materials from the sea. And Nikolett Madai takes a creative approach to her designs, using, for example, dyes obtained from food waste.

To round off Gallery FASHION’s offer, a Trendzone in the ‘Alte Schmiedehallen’ will provide inspiration for shop design. The Trendzone will give visitors a glimpse of the latest key trends in the fashion and lifestyle sector. In this installation, which sees itself as a place of inspiration for both retailers and visitors, the trends take centre stage.
