The event organised by Assocalzaturifici closes with +17% more visitors than last year and over 330 international brands
Moda Made in Italy, held by Assocalzaturifici March 13 through 15 at MOC in Munich, attracted 1500 visitors and the participation of more than 330 international brands presenting their latest new collections to buyers on a key market for Italian exports. The cross-cutting international event includes footwear in all price ranges to respond to consumers' changing needs.
Germany is the world's third biggest market for exports of Italian shoes, after France and the US, with more than 32 million pairs sold every year and a 4.8% increase by quantity, 0.9% by value, in the first ten months of 2015 over the same period in the previous year.
“The positive outcome of the event, which has grown in terms of the number of visitors, up 17% over March 2015, and in terms of exhibitors, with 6.4% more enterprises than the last edition, demonstrates the usefulness of events such as this one where buyers on the most receptive markets can establish contacts with quality Italian footwear makers," says Assocalzaturifici deputy chair Giovanna Ceolini. "Germany continues to represent a key market for Italy, although buyers still seem to be cautious when placing their orders.”
This edition of Moda Made in Italy was of strategic importance in relation to the international trade fair calendar for the footwear sector. Numerous buyers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Northern Europe attended, along with selected buyers brought to the fair by Assocalzaturifici, which supported companies at all stages in organisation of the event, ensuring the involvement of the most significant buyers in the industry.
The next edition of Moda Made in Italy will open on September 9 2016, presenting a new exhibition format in line with the latest trends in fashion. After the restyling of theMICAM (the international footwear shoe scheduled for September 3 through 6 at Fiera Milano), Moda Made in Italy also has a new look responding to the changing demands of evolving footwear enterprises.
