It is a long and good tradition of the Federal Association of the Shoe and Leather Goods Industry to award creative young people for their special achievements. "Even more, it is a special concern of ours, especially in difficult times, to support young creative people", emphasizes HDS/L General Manager Manfred Junkert. Therefore, the association will again announce the HDS/L Junior Award next year. The award honors young people who enhance and stage the product shoe through extraordinary creativity and innovation. The motto of the HDS/L Junior Award 2021 is "RECYCLING / UPCYCLING - CREATE A NEW STYLE WITH USED MATERIALS! New, creative ideas in the field of recycling are in demand.
The presentation and festive tribute of the winner of the HDS/L Junior Award 2021 is planned in occasion of the Gallery Shoes (March 7 to 9 in Düsseldorf). The competition is currently underway. Young designers of national and international origin can participate in the competition for the 'HDS/L Junior Award 2021'. The call for entries is directed both at students at European schools in the field of fashion/design and at young professionals in companies.
Applications for participation must be sent to HDS/L by 31.01.2021. The deadline for sketches and shoes is February 7, 2021. A jury of experts will decide on the winners.
