The association continues to promote local development with concrete acts and projects

The Regional hospital of Marche in Fermo will be able to offer greater comfort for patients in the months to come. Assocalzaturifici has donated 10 new beds for patients in the hospital, which is particularly important for the people of the town of Amandola.

The donation exemplifies the policy of concrete solidarity of Assocalzaturifici, a prominent industry association representing the Italian footwear industry, which has always been particularly important in the Marche: “This is the second time we have allocated the money we used to spend on Christmas presents to concrete social development projects. Last year in Lombardy, and this year in Marche," explains Assocalzaturifici President Annarita Pilotti. "We believe that an organisation like ours should accept responsibility not only for the footwear companies it represents, but for the area as a whole, and its overall development: industrial, commercial and social”.

The 10 hospital beds are the most recent of the association's initiatives in a particularly difficult year for the region of Marche and for central Italy. The earthquake zone is particularly dear to Assocalzaturifici: “I have been personally involved in every stage of earthquake response, offering concrete support for raising public awareness and helping the Civil Guard put together everything they needed to respond to the emergency," says Pilotti. "We will not stop here, but continue to lend a hand to those who need it most.”
